Autopsis
By: spikeface

There and Back Again
By: emungere
Info: PG, 1880 words, gen or John/Sherlock (depends a bit on how you read it, not a simple fic)
Summary: Sherlock’s skin took on the pale aqua of the pool walls. (Includes spoilers for the third episode and will probably be a bit confusing if you haven't seen it.)
Notes: This fic is thoughtful and smart and subtle all at once. I love the author's take on the characters and their relationship. I love the honest confusion in this story, and the obvious trust and connection underlying every word and every action. I love this fic.

And What Happened After
By: emungere
Info: PG, 1700 words, Sequel to "There and Back Again"
Summary: Sherlock paused in his playing as he heard the front door open, but it was only John.
Notes: A beautiful continuation of the story. There are too many things I love about this fic, just go read it. Both of them. Do it now.

Inroads
By: emungere
Info: PG, 1800 words, "mostly gen Sherlock/John"
Summary: It was seventeen minutes before five in the morning, November, windy and sleeting.
Notes: Incredibly sweet imagery. Also, as someone who is ALWAYS COLD, I am ridiculously envious of Watson and his new personal space heater in this fic.

Let You Kiss Me (So Sweet and So Soft)
By: out_there
Info: G, Sherlock/John, 8666 words
Summary: The first time Sherlock kisses him, John keeps his eyes open, and so does Sherlock, and mostly, he wonders what Sherlock could possibly be up to. There'll be some logic to this. Some ridiculous experiment about body warmth or respiratory rates or testing a new way of picking pockets. Sherlock does the unimaginable for bizarre reasons, but behind it, there's always logic and curiosity. Sometimes, it just takes him a while to explain it to John.
Notes: This is definitely one of my absolute favorite Sherlock fics to date. Insightful and smart and beautifully written.

Apologies for Large Feet
By: BlackEyedGirl
Info: Sherlock/John, 3165 words, Teen+
Summary: Sherlock can see his way through most problems in a single glance. John is something of an anomaly.
Notes: This fic is completely lovely.

This is a whole series, and if you want to skip my exuberant rambling about it and just read it all in one go, here: The series on AO3 or The author's tag for the fic on LJ. Otherwise, the series is linked in order below

The Second Law of Thermodynamics (LJ Mirror)
By: entanglednow
Info: PG-13, John/Sherlock, 3600 words
Summary: In which there's no heating and there's a dead owl in Sherlock's bed.
Notes: Entangled_now has such a way with these characters, and a deft hand when it comes to writing the most excellent tropes. John's voice in this fic is too perfect for words.

The Art of Negotiation (LJ Mirror)
By: entanglednow
Info: PG-13, John/Sherlock, 3800 words
Summary: In which an experiment has to be repeatable for the results to be valid.
Notes: God I love persistent, determined Sherlock. And befuddled John. And everything about this series.

The Definition of Insanity (LJ Mirror)
By: entanglednow
Info: PG-13, John/Sherlock, 4160 words
Summary: In which John tries to restore some semblance of order.
Notes: You're already reading the fic, right? I don't even need to tell you it's awesome at this point, right?

The Rules (LJ Mirror)
By: entanglednow
Info: NC-17, John/Sherlock, 4700 words
Summary: In which there are rules, and John breaks them.
Notes: This was already a lovely series, but this final installment officially moves it up a notch from "excellent" to "stories I desperately needed in my life." This is PERFECT. I'm not even going to try and put into words all the reasons I'm in love with this fic.
