Summary: Yet the deceptively plain and polite note seemed to stare at George knowingly, as if weighting him and finding him wanting. It was not, as etiquette would have dictated, an invitation to Lady Washington. Not even to the Washingtons. No, this little cream coloured piece of paper called on George and George alone to take tea with Elizabeth Hamilton.
Though always mindful of his own temper and strict with his staff on the subject of swearing, George let out a heartfelt “Oh, bugger."
Notes: This little ficlet is sincerely delightful. The dialog, the humor, the character voices. There is so much going on, in such a concise package, and I loved every word. I read it this morning and have been thinking about it all day.

Notes: Stunning. Face_of_Poe does such wonderful things. It's the details of Hamilton's family life that destroy me with this one. A beautiful fic all around.

Notes: Something in a very different vein from the three fics above. This is hot as hell, vivid intimacy, a beautifully conflicted Hamilton who wants his general desperately. A blast from the past that I honestly can't believe I haven't recommended here before. I enjoyed this enormously.
